Internet connection has been lousy these days..But anyways, am suppose to blog about my batam holiday.Although its not the ideal holiday which i've been hoping for, it turned out quite alright.Good getaway for great deals and a stress free environment. Managed to get nice tees at price of $2-$3
a black simple dress at less than $10
Got nice tees for dar, kueh lapis for his family and small souvenir for some friends
but...
the person spelled cheryl's name wrongly. Grr I wrote clearly lo.
Only realised it when i got home so was too late to ask for an exchange
Sorry cheryl =(. The person also missed out the "s" is Happy 7 friends =_=
And i wasn't able to get any shorts or skirts probably because its a muslim country ba. Din get backpack also. Those shall be on my shopping list!
Overall, it was a nice holiday
Did quite a bit of shopping, had fun counting all the hundreds of thousands and tried some new stuffs like massage on day 1, go kart on day 2 and nail painting on day 3
Love the nail painting. Got it at $20, very cheap compared to singapore which will cost at least $50.
1st day was more of a tour, going to keropok stalls, shopping, seafood lunch, massaging and shopping again. 2nd day more of sight seeing and shopping. Third day shopping again. Sounds like there's a lot to shop huh? hahahaha actually there are only 3 popular malls to shop in. We just went round and round and round the malls. haha. went to megamall twice, nagoya hill twice (2-2 and a half ours each) and Batam city Square once. Nagoya hill is the biggest mall there but hmm only bout the size of..plaza sing? haha. The hotel i stayed in, Pacific Palace Hotel, is in the shape to a cruise. The decorations are also pretty.
The outside of my hotel. Shaped just like a cruise.
The view from the lobby
Room was comfortable, and breakfast was quite a spread. Too bad we didn't bring swimwear so din try out the pool and sauna =pOh, i just realised that i forgot almost all of my Bahasa Indonesia hahaha. I only used "berepa Harga" and i took a long time when they replied in indo haha cos of all the "ratus" and "ribu" and "belas". So glad that dad speaks malay fluently. He can hold conversations with our driver, talk to shopkeepers and everything. Daddy wan sui =) Also got to know my parents a little better through this trip. Mum likes holidays which she can relax more..batam to her is quite boring din like the massage, din try go kart..haha just walked around malls. She also din buy much la. Dad..a bit too generous but loves adventures.Though there were some black faces and a bit of limitations during this holiday, i am contented with it.
Day 1 - on the ferry
Day 1- at the seafood restaurant. yummy!

Day 2 - Sightseeing. KTM resort. very very beautiful scenary. Shall try there next time!
Our Attempt to jump into the sea haha
