Last saturday, dar and I went for our first overseas trip!
Haven't had time to update ever since cos was busy preparing for my presentation today. Glad it turned out well =) Going to miss my preceptor and all the staff at lot 1 unity~
Back to my desaru one day tour~!
It was our pre-celebration for our 2nd year together.
We both woke up early at about 4.45am and headed down to Golden Mile
Bus left at 6.30am, cleared the checkpoints etc den had breakfast at a huge eating area where we also bought some local products. Hee, then walked around looking for bubble gums =pp
Managed to find a 7 eleven! and had lots of fun playing with the gums =p
Fun fun!! Had difficulties blowing at first. saliva fly everywhere hahahahaha After that, was a long ride of 1.5 hours to the ostrich farm. Had a good rest on dar's lap while getting there. *yaynest*
Dar and i both agree that the time at the ostrich farm was the most fun heehee. They have 300 over ostriches!
The little ostrich is biting my finger!!
He's so happy that the baby ostrich is biting him~ hahahahaha Ostrich egg shells!!
Nice Zi Pai!! heehee
This was what we had for lunch in addition to some other dishes like oyster omellete, crab, lettuce and fish. Not too bad~After lunch, walked around, went to a bakery..bought ma ti su (chestnut pastry) which is also known as pong piah =p
3rd stop was desaru fruit farm. Saw a lot of fruit trees, learnt a bit about honey and tried yummy durian too.
Passion fruit =)
The goat loves me~ haha
See~ we're good friends!
As we were ahead of plans, the tour guide brought us to a shopping centre nearby to shop =) Hee..Got something nice which will accompany me for the next few days! =pppp
we spent about one hour at the small mall before heading for dinner nearby. Dinner was normal only~ though some dishes actually tasted better than lunch's.
Last stop of the day was to see fireflies!! That was what me and dar were really anticipating to see before we even set off for the trip. Spent about 1 hour along the river before the sun slowly set.....there was no sign of fireflies at first...
We thought we wouldn't be able to see fireflies anymore! But as it got darker, we actually saw patches of light glittering on the mangrove trees! Really pretty, twinkling like mini christmas trees. Too bad they can't be caught on camera =ppp so can't show u any photos. haha.
Overall, i would say this trip is very successful. Though there were some bickers and there were some unhappiness, I'm glad we went for this together. Also got to know a young couple and a very cute mother and son from the trip. Super funny. Happy 2 years my darling! =)
