First, we went to qian hu fish farm for fish spa =)
Nice place, probably because we had the whole spa area to ourselves. haha.
There were small fishes and big fishes! Was quite shocked to see the huge ones.
They were really big! like the normal fishes we see on our table.
anyway, we tried out the small ones first.
Quite ticklish at first, especially when the bigger of the small ones swim by the nibble at our feets. haha.
after 15 mins, we went to try the BIG ones!
omg~ it was bout 10x more ticklish!
like 1000 fingers tickling at my sole haha.
30min past very quickly. had a lot of fun and it wasn't embarrassing for us cos we had the whole place. Best to go on weekdays! We were there between 11.30am-12.00pm. FUN!
Then, the plan was to go to farmart which was just around the corner to prawn and see hamsters hahaha. (i wanna get a pet for him~hamster? fish? haha)
BUT~ the place is so quiet. None of the shops looked open. There wasn't anyone prawning as well.
So..we changed to prawning at lakeside! We've been there before about a year ago before dar went to japan. This time, it is before he goes for reservist. =p. The people there are nice and the catch is good too!
In the beginning, catch was minimal. We used their free bait (chicken liver?). In 1 hr, I only managed to catch 3. Into the 2nd and 3rd hour, a very experienced uncle offered us his bait- seaworm. The prawns just love them. Our catch improved. He was our first gui ren.
Then our second gui ren came along! Our "shi fu" hahahaha. Just as dar predicted, he came! He was there guiding us one year ago. Today, he taught us again! the skill of letting the prawn get the bait before hooking it up. When the bob goes down~ dun hook it up immediately! cos the prawn is just holding it with its pincers. Make sure the bait is being eaten before jerking and hooking it up. After he arrived, our prawns increased by double! We also learnt how to catch under the bridge and their hot spots. Our third gui ren came at about 5. haha. A group of young man was prawning. They decided to leave before their rental was up so they offered us their rod! so we had extra play! haha. By the end of 4 hrs, we had~39 prawns!!!

Dar and I had a great sense of satisfaction too!
We prawned, washed and bbq-ed the prawns on the spot!
The prawns were very fresh! We also had homemade beehoon!!
Mum helped me in cooking it. I woke up at 7am, went to the market with her to get the ingredients. She taught me how to cut the ingredients and fry the beehoon =) so nice of her. Then i went on to make the sandwiches. Was super tired by the end of the day, but its ok! We both had fun.
After the bbq, our next impromptu was to go eat something icy. We went to bt timah for ice kachang but it wasn't shiok enough so went to the nearby al azar to get milo gozilla! hahahaha. Yummy!
Overall, it was a great day spent with darling.
I'll be seeing him tml before he goes for NS for 2 weeks.
Just hope everything will be fine for him.
May today's adventure and happiness last him for 2 weeks! haha.
